TINY ART OVERVIEW.

Over 5,000 families going through the stress of a neonatal journey

1 in 10 babies born in New Zealand arrive prematurely. Many more full-term babies have complications and illnesses that require specialist care in their earliest days.
In all, over 5,000 babies spend time in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) each year.

Tiny Art was inspired by the beautiful image of 'Charlotte's foot'.

Born at 24 weeks (16 weeks early) and weighing just 650 grams, Charlotte spent 132 days in hospital for going home for the first time.

It is these numbers that helped develop the concept  -  pieces for Tiny Art are between 132mm and 650mm in size.

Our thanks go to the wonderfully talented Gina Kiel, who created the Tiny Art logo. A pleasure to deal with, the image came back swiftly and exactly on brief. If you're looking for an illustrator extraordinaire do check out ginakiel.com

Also, our thanks to have Zeus Te Ahuru help out with imagery and files to create this site and the supporting material. Zeus, a neonatal father of twins, operates Tahi Design
